Birkenside is a small housing estate at the south end of the town of Gorebridge in Midlothian.

In 2002 the Community Partnership was formed after we experienced some anti social behaviour problems in the community from a small number of individuals.  Following a couple of well attended meetings involving the Council, Police and members of the public, it was decided that the only way to ensure that changed took place was for people to get involved

 The Partnership was formed and it has worked for the benefit of the village ever since. The Partnership has successfully obtained money from a number of sources to renovate the local pavilion and hall in the park and has every August since then run a very popular "Fun Day" in the park. Always ready to be your host, gladly looking forward to welcoming you!

In 2021 new committee members were voted in after the previous committee members retired and successfully raised money for the 2022 Free Fun Day,
